i would say $600 IF the heads have less than 20,000 miles any more i wouldn't pay more then $400-450.

you should see about 25hp and much more with a cam

Offer him $375, see what he says

To me the work involved in putting on a new set of heads is not worth making a swap from one set of stock GM heads to another. Maybe if the heads were free I would consider it. Otherwise there are several cheap aftermarket alternatives that can produce more results for close to the same cost.

But what about driveability and fuel economy?? The LS6 are factory heads, so you can retain fuel effiency while still getting a nice bump in power. You could probably get away with installing them without even getting a full tune.

I don't know how much heads will affect the gas mileage or driveability. A modest cam will be almost nothing. I get exactly the same mileage with my new cam as the stocker. Heads could/should make a difference, but I doubt it will be that drastic (M6 is more forgiving).

I paid 450 shipped brand new assembled. But they didn't come with the fancy ls6 valves.
