Spark plugs

Just wondering which spark plugs you all prefer? Have you had better luck with hot or cold plugs? I am going to run MSD plug wires and just wondering what you would recommend?

a lot of people run NGK spark plugs TR6 i believe

If you have forced induction, most say to go 1 or 2 steps colder. The plugs will hit the ideal temp sooner. Otherwise. Id run stock.

Don't know a lot about this area...how do you know if the plug is a hotter or colder plug? I have the stock induction with the slp lid. Is there a part number that I can just take to a parts store and tell them those are the plugs I want?

i was told by multiple people to run tr55's and there working out just fine

I run MSD wires with NGK tr55 plugs. Gap is set to .040 Only "mods" are lid,K@N air filter,cat back exhaust,smooth bellows. Runs great.

Im running the Granatelli wires NGK TR55 iridiums and the car runs great.

Spending $150+ for Granatelli wires is going a bit overboard IMO(especially for a stock engine). The MSD wires are around $55.00 and are fine.

got mine from a bud, never used $75.

the MSD's are great wires i run them on my truck, haven't had any problems

NGK 55's gap em at .040.............use dielectric grease and anti seize.....

ngk tr55s and 5 taylor wires and 3 stockers here!

ran tr6s NA and they worked fine too.

autolites APP5245 double platinum gap .050 theyre great for stock cars no ram air 106,105,104 's those for ws6 colder plug

Horse power did a show this weedend or last that did a dyno test on a motor to test stock plugs against I think they were C3 or E3 they showed a 6hp gain just with plugs..

NGK's here.....but I did run a set of Brisk Spark plugs in my LT1 motor and I have to say I was very impressed with them....trouble is they are hard to find....Chevy did a write up on them a while back so I thought I'd see what they did.....
