    Scat Rods?

Anyone use Scat connecting rods? I recently purchased a set of L92 heads from Scoggin Dickey and because of their larger combustion chambers my compression ratio has dropped from 11:1 to 9.81 so I could either take surface off of the heads wich would raise compression but also move the valves closer to the pistons or buy new pistons and rods. I am leaning towards pistons and rods but cost is a big part of my decision. Scat makes a pro-comp I-beam rod #2ICR6125-7/16 and cost $259.00 Origonally I was going to stroke the motor and buy a rotating assembly but the additional cost of the crank, line hone, balancing, etc... put the project out of my budget. So what I end up with is an LS2 (05 GTO), stock crank, scat rods, wiseco forged 12cc dome pistons, L92 heads, comp 238/242 610/614 112lsa cam, single plane L92 intake, MSD 6LS2 Ignition, patriot gold spring/titanium retainers, yella terra 1.7 offset shaft rockers, and a 150 shot of nos. Anyway back to my origonal question, are the scat rods any good? They have a horsepower rating of 700 and I will be well back of that number. They are an I beam not an H beam but do have the 7/16 cap screws and the profiled caps. Any input would be helpfull, Thank You!

Those rods are about that same has a stock rod. For about $150 more you can go to the h-beams, Way,way, way better. I have used the h-beams in 800HP boat motors with no problems, and boat shit is very hard on parts. If you are going to do all that work, do not put the i-beam rods in there, go with the h-beams and you will not question the short block anymore.Beside if you do wind up goin with a 250 shot i know the h-beams will take it. Sometimes it better to do it now then find out latter where you weak link is.
    Just my 2 cents
