questions about new cam

hey guys
so i just bought a new cam its an Erson 238/242 .620/.620 112+4 with Patriot gold springs good to .650 lift.
what im needing to know is about what size pushrods i may need (i wil try and measure to double check), also would flycutting be an issue with this size cam? i know some guys get away with it on the MS4? one last thing would be how high to spin the rpms to for full potentioal?

any thoughts on how this would react with stock ported heads non milled?

Usually 7.4 length pushrods will be what is required but it's best to mesure. Same goes for PTV clearence, clay it and spin the motor over that will tell you if you will need to fly cut or not.

It's a big cam, I should start coming into power near 4k and climb till 6800-7k. I'm only guessing, but my cam in my car is a 231/237 .598/.598 110+2 and it comes alive at about 4k. And I run a SS3600 Stall.

Ported heads will help!

im getting a set of ported 241 heads off a buddies motor once he decides to build a new one, which will be soon lol

i want to get an adjustable pushrod checker, cheap and a good insuracne measure.

when claying the pistons, how thick should i spread it on? one cyl. should be enough to measure with right?

or use a warm tootsies roll ,leave it in the wrapper .freeze it before you measure it.
