A Question For All You T-rex Owners
I wanted to hear from all those peole who have or had the trex at some time, how much do you drive your car w/ it? I know drive ability is difference w/ every person thats y I wanted to hear from people w/ first hand experience. A buddy of mine has a 99 z28 (same as me) and is a DD w/ a gx4 and i figure that cam is close to the same size as the t-rex. Mine isn't a DD more like a nice summer day / weekend toy kinda deal....ps anyone running a cutout w/ the trex, if so how does that sound? hopfuly i wil be soon.

Remember T's99BlackLs1, my car isn't a DDriver. I never intended on it being a DD, just a car that performs great at the track and gives me minimal driving issues on the street. Don't forget, peak hp numbers don't mean squatt if the driver can't get it to the ground. Look at Matt's Cobra vs Casey's SS camaro. Matt got beat and Casey has less power.
99 z28 cam,m6 ,S60 4.56gears,Fast 90/90 full boltons,more mods one day.

Hardest part is that everyone has a different idea of how driveable cams are.
Good tune I couldn't see those cams being too much of a problem. But it is really up to the tuner.2008 Trailblazer SS

My G5x4 was a little tricky at first to get used to but then again I bought the car in October of 2005 parked it until June of 2006. I did my mods in Late May of 2006. So it was like trying to get use to a new car again. I only drove it in stock trim for 2 month's and put it away.

I know its not a DD I guess my option of a DD is alittle different. I wouldn't drive my camaro everyday even if it was stock. What I should of said is you drive it all summer when ever it doesn't rain pretty much. That is what I am looking to do not a ture DD but more then a weekend warrior, so I guess i'm lookin at something inbetween. I know that peek numbers mean nothinging but hey.......GO BIG OR GO HOME lol

I too am interested in the T-Rex, and would like to hear your opionions. Also, are the Comp Cams 921 springs worth the additional $245 over the Crane Cams springs?

I don't know much about crane , but I just personally preffer comp. I talked to LG when I bought my G5x4 cam and they said they basically have yet to see the comp 921's break.

yea I think its worth the extra $245 for the 921's. And dont forget about PRC's kit. its like 300for everything so your looking @ around 700 for that kit as well as the cam. And everyone that runs them seems to like them on hear.

yea its the same as 921's kit but PRC stuff, the springs are rate @ .660 lift and you get pushrods to. You can get it on texas speeds website and i am pretty sure its $300 some dollars just short of $400.
