    price please?

does anybody know about how much it cost to get your heads ported and polished, assuming that i take them off and take them to the machine shop and then put them back on. i know the price is depending on where i live but i just need a round about number so i can convince my wife that it is worth it

anywhere in the range of 1000-1200 would be a good guess for a good P&P. You might find someone for around the 800 range, best thing to do is just call around. Its practically cheaper to just buy new heads allready ported that will outflow ported stock heads.

good point i can probably get already ported heads for around 600 and a ported intake for about 200-300 so that would save me a little.... where in texas are you from

Abilene. U in or from TX?

600??? good luck, I was referring to a brand new set allready built up that flow over 300 CFM for around 1500. But if you can find a set allready P&P even if they are LS1 heads then more power to ya. I know I spent around 1900 if I remember correctly for mine brand new and built up.

Go to Highlands East Machine shop. It's in Renton. They will do a good job for a good price. probably less than $350 if all you want is some porting done.
