Prc stage 1 ls6 heads v2 cam?

I have a 98 z28 with 170k. I want to do a head and cam swap. I have headers and a rebuilt trans. I'm looking for some advice or some experience to see if any one has tried this set up, how did they like it, what kind of hp would it put down at the tires. I'm planning to do all new valve train lifters, push rods, etc. because of the high miles. and input would be great.

I have similar mileage on my car and decided to just go completly built. I didnt see the point of replacing the top end and valvetrain with a worn out rotating assembly. I didnt want them bottem end to become the weak link.

I've seen it some before and last to 250k...your call. With those heads I would go with a custom cam...I left a lot on the table in terms of performance, especially under the curve, with my Torquer 2 cam.

You'll pickup about 30 rwhp with the TV2 and about 50rwhp with the Stage 1 243s for a total of about 80+rwhp. When I ran the combo I was running a Vigalante 3200 stall and 3.73 gears. From experince the convertor needs to be stalled higher. But when it hits its power range it pulls hard.
