    ported heads

    Hey I found some ported heads for sale for 200 they are 241's. I was wondering what good they would do on my car or should I just have someone port my heads they are 853's. how much power could I expect to gain from this and how much cost for having someone port my own heads? heres a link of the heads-http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts/739557996.html

    You might get 10-15 rwhp off of those heads. It's gonna be very minimal and not worth the hassle of a heads swap for that little of power. Keep saving for at least some ported 243's. There are plenty of used ones being sold on here and LS1Tech.
    2000 Z28: Accufab 4150, Vic Jr. 150 shot, Patriot stg 2 heads, big cam, FLT Stg VI 4L60, S60 rear. Waaay more stuff to list. 3100 LBS.
