    Ported Heads

I got some ported heads the other day. I know they were on a car and it put down good numbers, but heres the question. In the intake side, a portion of the bolt hole cavity from the rocker arm bolt is exposed and I dont know if this is normal for heads that are ported out to 225cc. Any info would be nice, thanks.

    bolt hole

It isn't going to hurt anything, look at your stock heads the intake rocker bolt comes down into the intake runner also. All you need to do is put blue threadlockeror teflon sealent paste on all the intake bolts threads and clean all the holes out good. Have been working on LS based motors for over 10 years and that problem has always been there don't worry put them on and make your numbers , just be sure to use GM MLS headgaskets and new headbolts and torque and streetch the bolts according to specs.

Are you better off leaving them alone or use some epoxy and carefully fill them back up.

A hole in the path of air flow isn't good. Take them to a head shop.....it's only aluminum and a worthy shop can repair a hole no problem.
