Piston to Valve Clearance
Hey I was wondering if anyone knew how much lift you can get away with on the 5.3 truck motor with stock ratio rockers? I'm planning on using the Dart heads and comp springs good to .600 lift, but for the time being I'm going to use the stock heads with the comp springs. Any help would be great

PtoV isnt measured by the lift of a cam, but rather the duration and lsa. You need to also have the gasket thickness and milling of the heads taken into consideration too.

lift has a factor in it, but your more in harms way with the duration and lsa for sure. the only real way to know is to clay that engine and check.

What would be too much Duration, LSA, and Lift to run with stock heads and rockers?
