Red face Pan Gasket oil leak!! help help!!!!!

Car looks like a 30,000 dollar car!
Its me with more evidence pointing to a pan gasket seep during driving pressure pushing oil out at both sides a little and back of pan gasket mostly.
A mech said it was pan gasket.
I wiped oil pan clean 3 days later i see oil marks like a trail from sides of pan and mostly back of pan where it meets bell housing.
Has anyone used bars stop leak and had good results?
Has anyone paid a mechanic to change a pan gasket, if so how many hours of labor ,and or total cost ect?
2001 10 years old 74,000 miles. clean car. 6 speed.
looks , runs like a new car all original all stock but ......
How much oil am i leaking?
I am still checking looks like about 1qt of leakage every 1,000 miles.
Appreciate helpful, positive replys, honest replys, informative replys only no personal attacks please, 0 comment ok rather than a critical comment theyre not helpful,
    thanx

You don't want to lower your oil pressure and please don't use Bars Stop Leak....pan gasket needs to be changed.

You could support the engine from the top with a bar across the strut towers and Unbolt your engine mounts and front suspension....then stop the suspension enough to remove your pan

This guy is 100% correct. Do it the right way the first time. This way you will not be in the same boat for a long time. The bars stop leak is crap, and lowering your oil pressure could hurt you in the long run.

make sure its your pan gasket. i was changing my k member and decided i would change my pan gasket because it was always wet. at the last moment i noticed it had a reddish tint to it and after checking numerous wet areas it all smelled like trans fluid, so i figure i have a worn out front pump seal. just thought id share what happened to me.

I'd first make sure the oil pan to rear cover are torqued to spec.(106 in.lb.).

A good set of metric sockets and a few hours will get your problem fixed...might want a friend or two to help get the front cross member back in and lined up...buy a case of beer and call some buddies

Has anyone slowed or stopped leakage by decreasing pressure while cars running? if so how to lower pressure?

    Talking

Not only is english my first language, i can also spot an unhappy person for whatever their reason is.
I can also say that 99% of all who have reponded to my posts were
helpful, intelligent, informed, and glad to respond positively.
I'l have to ask you a question now.
Are you sure youre on the right site?
The net might have a site for depressed contrarian types who aint here to add anything positive.
Individuals who look for things to personal criticize cause their unhappy or maybe have an inferiority complex .
Another point to learn is communication matters if the point is understood then communication has been sucessful.
Another point some individuals sit in class their whole lives getting programmed by egotistical teachers cause they need to be shown everything.
Types that have no imagination maybe they become bully types, we all bully types , youre not one of those are you?
Maybe some have too much time on their hands, do me a favor and do not comment period on any of my posts thank you sir and have a nice day
