Red- 1999 Camaro SS
Old questions I'm sure
My son ripped the FE off my car in an accident and Ins Co totaled it. I bought it back and am rebuilding it. there will never be a better time to pull the motor. Here is what I have and my questions.
Currently - a few bolt on mods - TT car with M6, GM MAF, ported stock TB, Borla cat back, 4.10 10 bolt posi, Edelbrock Total Handling Suspension Kits. front shock tower brace. This is not my DD and it wont see the track until I get a rear in it.
What I am looking for:
cam - something with a nice idle and good power curve for the 4.10's
heads - something to up the flow now and support a larger intake later
headers - most popular brand/best quality?
clutch - old one is shot
sub-frame connectors
After a tune, that should get me back on the road with a smile on my face

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
If you ask 10 people you will get 10 different answers. I will give you 1 answer, Texas Speed. Talk to them, ask your questions and tell them what you expect from the cars and they will sell you the parts needed, give you advice on installation and all of the parts they sell are proven. That is what I would do.
Texas Speed and PerformanceMy ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k

^^ Very true.
UMI makes great stuff and it is built right here in PA. If you take a run up to GM Carlisle next month they usually have show special pricing. I started with their 2 point bolt in SFC's, but then upgraded to 3 points after we started racing our car a bit more. Stainless headers are the way to go in 1-7/8" in light of your other plans. Kooks, ARH and Stainless Works are probably your top three. I have Kooks longtubes and a catted Y-pipe in our car and they look and fit great.
