    2001 Camaro SS

    No Fuel Pressure

    my buddies car is turning over but not firing. he have pressure at the fuel filter but do not have any pressure at the motor. any ideas?

    EDIT: fuel pressure is good. no spark at the spark plugs. any ideas?

    I'd guess crank sensor or blown ignition fuse. Scan it for codes.

    ill have him go check. he just finished installing the 408 stroker and we are just trying to get the damn thing to start.

    checked the fuses and they all seem to be good. just so everyone knows whats in the car its a brand new LQ9 not LS1

    yea its a 98 SS and he had the car tuned by frost. his dad wrote this up on tech trying to get some help "I will try to explain the best i can this is my sons car and i am on his user name.the car is a 98 ss 6 spd.put a 408 stroker motor in it had the pcm baseline tuned to break car in then take to a dyno.we gave all the specs for the cam, heads, comp ratio,rear gear,ect.we were very careful labeling,taging everything so when we put car back together it would be smoother process, all went well.we did not get are o2 extension with headers which are kooks with off road y-pipe,o2 extesions will be here tues but my understanding was the motor would run to break in the first couple of run cycles for 20- 30 minutes. try to start car no fire getting fuel no spark. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.we have been waiting 3 or 4 months to get this car done."

    I'd get a scanner hooked up to it and make sure you have a signal from the crank sensor. Go to the data screen and see if the PCM is seeing a rpm when cranking.
