Navy Blue Metallic- 98 T/A w/ mods, 00 FBVert
nice find but you'll need to verify some things first.
reluctor wheel - 24x or 58x, find out which one it is and look for a wire harness for it, hopefully you got the one out of the truck it came with along with the pcm.
cylinder heads - which ones? some trucks came with 5.3 heads, others came with 243's not sure when they started coming with 317's. They all have pro's and cons depends on your desired build.
HP desires - 400 easy with a simple cam swap. With the right H/C/I you'll be mid to high 400's easy.
Intake - Look for a LS6 over the truck intake, if you have enough $$ a FAST 102 is the top but that requires much more stuff, like fuel rails, injectors, 102 TB, even a new air intake.
Other options - with a 6.0L you don't have just to look @ cathedral style heads, LS3/L92 heads will work well but it would require a LS3 intake too. These heads have a hell of a lot of flow over cathedral style heads.
408 stroker build, FI - what I'm saying is you have a lot of options....there is even a carb build 408 pulling over 500HP & TQ in High Performance Pontiac I read last yr.
I currently ordering parts for my LQ4 build, so far I've gotten:
LQ4 short block out of a 04' gmc, LS2 pistons (to bump the compression to 10:6 vs 9:5 (LQ4 compression), 243 heads, LS2 timing chain, and I already have a LS6 heads plus LT's etc....for cam I'm looking at a PAT G custom grind or something like the Tick Performance Polluter Stage 3 cam (239/244)
