are new lifters required?
I have a TR cam 224/224 112lsa with 921 valve spring kit, new gaskets, pushrods etc.
but what im not sure of is am i going to need new lifters

Stock lifters are fine.
But if you have the money, Morel lifters would be worth some extra piece of mind and a couple more horse.2008 Trailblazer SS

whenever replacing a cam check the condition of the lifters. if they are good and you dont wanna spend the money to replace them. reuse them, but understand that its gonna suck if they tap in 1000 miles. its generally good practice to do a cam and lifters at the same time. your already in there.

There is a difference with the LS1. The intake/heads don't have to be removed to get the cam swap done.
To swap the lifters, both have to come off. A lot more work.
