    New Heads, Old Rings?

    I am considering a set of new heads for my 2001 Z28. It has 125K on it. My UOAs say my motor is in pretty good shape, but I do have fuel dilution issues.
    If I put new heads on my motor will I have blow-by problems with my rings?

    I think I might have the same issue (or similiar) in regards to fuel dilution. I get ping at wot (over 4000rpm). I believe it's due to the leaky valve seals (my hunch is because there is oil that accumulates on the bottom of most spark plug's threadding -when the car sits overnight (but not after running the car).
    So far;
    Plugs look good (rust colour tr55's)
    timing stock
    93 octane
    PCV filter mod done
    Sea foamed 2X
    cleanned injectors
    cleanned MAF multiple times
    180' thermostat (fan on at 209)

    What do you guys think?
    Where do I go from here to solve the detonation , -new Heads, should I check the cats?

    I just tried TR6 plugs and 160 thermostat, and the ping is definately reduced.
    Before it would ping a lot at 4000 rpm, now it pings a little at 5000rpm.
    -Gettin there, but runnin out of things to try...
