need some advice on build

I have a 2000 trans am, a4 2.73 rear end. I just got a loan for $3000 and my goal is around 400whp

My engine is burning a good deal of oil , so thats why i decided to do it now. . hile i have it apart ... might as well do some fun stuff. I got lowering spring&shocks.

My list includes:
subframe connectors
3.73 gears
torque arm?
Comp Cam and valvetrain package + rockers/pushrods (want to rev to 6500)
HP tuners
Flow tech ceramic coated long tubes & y-pipe
Dyno time
the rest will be spent on maintenance like water pump, adjustable timing chain, etc etc

Any recomendations while im having this done? appreciate any feedback.

You need a stall converter. Go ahead with a new ported oil pump.

Without a stall I cant run a decent cam eh? if i were to stay on a stock stall.. what size cam would be do able? I only have so much money.. if i could do my own labor id go alllll out, but i want my car to run when its finished :-)

im getting a rebuild, LS6 intake, cam, valve springs, pushrods, lockers, lifters, stall, and headers for $3,500 this includes labor.
