Need new spark plugs - what to use w/ Cammed engine?
I have a '00 LS1 with an LG Motorsports G5X3 cam. No other "real" internal engine mods.. No FI either. It makes about 420 rwhp. What spark plug should I use?
I have TR55's in it and I was wondering what I should go with next - and what should I gap them to?
The TR55's in there now have been there for about 2 years.

Stay with what you have and just replace them with new ones.

just use a good plat. flush electrode and it will do everything you need it to do. those multi-prong plugs don't do anything. gap gap gap, don't forget.

Depends on a few different things. Plug wire resistance, coil packs, ignition head unit, and the plugs you ultimately choose. To big of a gap will down cylinders. Stock plug gap is .060 to .065 with OEM plugs. The plug manufacturer is the best resource for this info. They will be happy to help.

Stock gap is .060. The TR55's come gapped at .055, and most people leave them there. They should work well gapped anywhere from .050 to .055.

I had a few issues and ran NGK TR6's gapped at between .035-.040 and voila...no more KR issues....of course I blew that motor up but by golly it wasnt because of the plugs
