    98 ss camaro

    need help with heads!!

    I bought a wreck TA with good block and notice the heads were 313 anybody know we're those heads come from?

    Do you mean 317? As far as I know there are no 313 heads. If they are in fact 317s they are pretty good heads just bigger chambers of 72 cc.

    The 317s came on 6.0 trucks if that is what you are asking about.

    Yes I might of gotten the wrong numbers now that you say 317 that's what its got so there pretty good head then, would they fit a ls1 without having any problems.?

    Yeah they fit no problem most guys if they are doing a naturally aspirated motor go the 243 heads route for the smaller chambers and if Forced Injection they go the 317 head route for the larger chambers. The head will work pretty well regardless though. Your compression ratio will be lower than that of a stock ls1 with stock heads though.
