misfire detected
my car showed cly #5 misfire detected, and since it was way past time to replace my plugs, wires, and coils; 157k on coils and wires. after replacing these still shows same engine code. what might be mt next step?

So you have a #5 misfire, But you replaced the #5 coilpack already?

yes replaced all coils plugs and wires!! any sugestions out there on what else it could be?

not just the wire, and plugs, but the whole coilpack? When you pull off the boots, do you see any form of rust of it not firing?

yes all new coils packs. didnt really inspect old ones.

also noticed something very screwy going on with headlights. maybe related elect. fault?

Did you clear the code and it came back??
Is it a 6 speed car? Miss any shifts lately... might be a bent pushrod...

cleared code. comes back. headlights mechanically work fine. electrically not right. fogs stay on with high beams right side dim, on low beam highs stay on dimmly!. hoping its some wacky elect prob and not push rod! a few month ago i did bounce off rev limiter but no ill effects till now. ive checked obvious connections and grounds. gonna have to let someone with a few more diagnostic skills take a look.
