Which melling oil pump?10% or 18% more pressure than stock
I was just wondering which higher pressure oil pump I should use.Both of these have either 10% or 18% over stock LS1.Doing a cam change and i heard I should change oil pump.Thanks

More is more with oil pressure...go 18% unless it is cost prohibitive. I used a ported LS6 pump with great results. You should definately replace during the swap since you have to remove it to change the timing chain anyways.

you could as so just port the stock ls1 pump for better flow as well. that will save $

Navy Blue Metallic- 98 T/A w/ mods, 00 FBVert
98 & 99 oil pumps were know to have issues with the LS1.
Recommend getting at least LS6 pump. Port & polish is better, Melling is best.

just picked up a ls6 oil pump up for my 6.0l build from Texas speed its right for the $$
