    Max RPM on stock shortblock

OK I have a MS3 Cam (came in today woot!) Comp 921's, hardened pushrods (TSP), Titanuim retainers, Hardened seats, ported LS6 oil pump, LS2 Timing set. I know that the MS3 will put the powerband much higher than what it is currently. I will start installing everything next week hopefully and will get it tuned shortly afterwards. I have no clue as to what the curve is going to look like or where max power is at but if it is over 6500 should I be looking into ARP rod bolts? I'm sure my valvetrain is safe given I bought the kit for that cam but now I'm worried about the bottom end. What is the max recommended rpms that would be considered "safe" on my bottom end?

The bottom end should be safe to just over 7 grand. However since you didn't say anything about solid lifters I wouldn't go past 6800 RPMs.

My Rev limiter is set to 6700 running that cam cause it starts losing power right around 6500 (gives me a couple hundred RPMs to kinda play with) bottom end is fine. And good to see you got the oil pump. someone advised me I wouldn't need it, and right at 1 year after the H/C mod it took a shit. .

slp lid,maf and smooth bellow. ls6 intake, cnc ported and polished ls6 heads with competition valve job. cam 237,242 .603,.609 113 lsa. pacesetter longtube headers and off road y-pipe. magnaflow catback
