Ls6 sawp Camaro, Want to do a 228r cam.
Ok i'm looking at a 228r cam from Texas speed. I have a brand new Ls6 motor in my 2000 Z28 Camaro. I was wanting to know if it would be a good upgrade and if i should change out the valve train, and what would be a good kit to get if i did? I know i want to go 228r lsa 114 but vale train is getting me in a lope since i don't know that much about heads. Any help?

The 228 is a good cam if you buy it new they have springs that come with it, your ls-6 springs won't be enough. You looking at texas speed?

Call them and ask, they will tell you what springs and pushrod length to get with it.

If you have a brand new LS6 motor in your Camaro you might want to check and make sure you don't void your warranty by installing a aftermarket cam,springs,pushrods,.ect.. I did and it cost me later when the motor spun a rod bearing. Now if you don't have a warranty on the motor then call TSP and get Jon to cut you a package deal. Gaskets and all.
