    Ls6/ls2 heads

    okay so this might sound stupid. butwhat is the difference if any from the ls6and ls2 heads is one better than the other?

    they are both 243 castings, but the ls6 has lighter sodium filled valves....other than that I think they are the same

    ^ along with those lighter valves they springs are different and the stem of the valve is longer on the light weight valves ....you a shorter pushrod should be used for a ls6 with a stock base diameter ls1 or 2 cam.

    I thought the springs were different, but wasn't sure

    if your going to up valves and springs beyond stock anyway, I'd just go for whichever head you can get cheaper.
    I'd never do a head swap and leave the stock springs in it, even with stock cam I'd upgrade to comp 918's

    several years ago there were a few bad batch of them that were prone to breakage, but they fixed the problem and all of tge bad ones should have been out of circulation for a long time now.
    they are cheap and very good. now they are rated upto .625" lift which covers probably 85-90% of the daily driven cams out there.
