blue- 2000 silverado
ls6 lifters?
i have a 5.3L ls6 and i have a stuck lifter. im looking to replace my lifters as a set. i went to the dealer and they want 52.00 each for the lifters. does anyone know where i can get a good set like from comp cams without paying a high price for them?

Not trying to be an ass here,but there is no such thing as a 5.3 LS6,the LS6 is a 5.7.

exactly. ls6 and 5.3 should never go together I got my lifters off of ebay. oem replacements. you can look at the comp oem replacements too. mine werent too expensive. i think it came out to ~100.

The GM price for individual lifters is incredibly high. I ran into the same thing on rocker arms. If you have the time to try it, call Van Devere Pontiac, Parts Department (800) 362-9494 in Ohio and ask for Dal Slabaugh. He has saved me hundreds of dollars in parts. Ask if you have to pay the individual price or if you can buy 16 lifters as a kit. It's a free call and very little time invested.
