LS6 intake

i have heard that some f-bodies came stock with the ls6 intake manifold and i was wondering how i could tell if i had it

01-02 camaro's got the LS6 intake. It has no EGR provision behind the throttle body, that's the first sign.
The part number is located on the driver side rail about in the middle of the engine, right between #3 and #5 coil packs. I believe the number is 12561184 for the F-body,,,there are other numbers that apply to the vettes and cadilacs.

2001-2002 have the ls6 intake and around 20% (i belive) 02 engines are the ls6 blocks

Drivers side on the back of block near the fireewall, you will need a mirror and light.

what will it have that will let me know it is a LS6?

will it have LS6 cast in the block?

Technically its just the block not the whole ls6 engine. There should be a number on the block on the rear of the ds head not sure what it is exactly but I believe it ends in 1168? Also if you look on the block by the front of the heads where the coolant lines are there will be a bullseye if its an ls1 or it will just be blank if its an ls6.
