LS2 heads on LS1 block?
so i came across a pretty good deal on a set of LS2 heads. now from what i've read the ls2 heads pretty much have the same specs as LS6. (i think) plus it has a higher comp. ratio then the LS6 heads when running flat tops. i think around 10.9:1 instead of 10.5:1. so my question is?.... why are people running these heads on ls1 blocks? is there sumthing im missing? a reason they WON'T work? well thank for any info u can get me.

ls2's use 243 heads which are ls6 heads. They'll flow better than ls1 heads but I would recommend getting them ported and polished.

Yes they have smaller combustion chamber therefore you will see an increase in compression ratio. LS2 243's are identical to the LS6 casting except that they do not use the light weight valves.

ls1 heads are 10.1:1 and ls6 heads are like 10.4 or 10.5:1...... I forget which.
