    LS1 or LS6????

    my engine is getting old and is developing a lot of small problems and i wanna know your opinions on whether i should rebuild my LS1 or buy a new LS6.... i live in california so im not even sure if an LS6 is even legal here. Any help would be great since im kind of a noob

    what are your goals with the new motor and how much can you spend?
    personally I'd rebuild what you have now.... there isn't much of a difference between the Ls1 and Ls6 blocks.
    I'd go with a good set of CnC ported Ls6 heads if you have the extra money spring for the TEA ported Trickflow heads.
    ported Ls6 oil pump or hi-volume pump and if I'm correct you can go as big as a 224 114lsa cam
