ls1 ls2 head and cam swap question

As the title says im doing a ls1 to ls2 cam and heads. I ran into a snag with the heads. the heads only come with the valves and springs. My question is can I use my ls1 parts to fill in the blanks lifters, push rods, etc?

if the lifters are low mileage they should work.if the springs are stock upgrade to springs that will more than handle the cam you are using.if the push rods are stock get after market push rods.measure for proper push rod length, and order the new push rods.TSP sells valve train kits for a good price .

Your putting a LS2 cam in a Gen III LS1? Am I reading that correctly?

sorry about that its a ls6 cam. Im over budget on this prodject and was just wondering if the parts were transferable? I keep finding broken and worn parts the deeper I go and the parts list is getting longer and lnoger.

    Ah, alright. That'll work!

I don't know what all your questioning on using. Don't reuse your springs, even if your putting another stock cam. COMP 918 or PAC 1218 would work good on the stock cam and be a upgrade for security. Don't ever skimp on valve springs, wrong place to try and save some money. You could get away with using the stock pushrods and lifters. In my eyes, if I'm taking the heads off once, I'm going to replace the stock lifters with some OEM LS7 (LS1 replacement) lifters. Going back in for a measly lifter is a gamble I wouldn't take, but maybe you will. Good luck.
