Ls1 Heads
Hey, I'm not super familiar with the LS1 engines but I picked up a pair of ls1 aluminum heads from a 2001 trans am with 19k miles for 300$. I've got the funds to build a 383 stroker short block and thats what I plan on doing but I am wondering what block the ls1 heads will fit on. Is it only the ls1 blocks or other generation of the chevy small block ? any help is appreciated.
thanks,
Jeff

They should fit any LS1 based block (except, I think, the big block in trucks). No, they won't work with anything else.

They'll fit any LS based block except a 5.3 block (327 in the trucks). Too small of a bore.
