LS1 heads on a 5.3L silverado

Does anyone know what it would take to put LS1 heads on my 5.3L silverado. I'm pretty sure the heads will fit but will the intake manifold, throttle body or ignition? If so do I use my stock parts or LS1 parts. What about the pushrods? Will my stock ones work or will I have to use different ones? I'd rather not push a valve through my piston. Would the swap even be worth the time and hassel? My buddy is doing an LS6 swap on his 01 SS so he is giving me his heads, intake manifold and headers.

Yes the heads will work, the intake manifold will too but I think you will have to have a custom air intake.
as for the time and hassel. I dont think it would be worth it to just swap heads on a stock truck motor, even more since there not ported
