    Patriot. LS6 stage 2.
I know Patriot uses the same heads for their stage 2 and their stage 3. Valve size is different. If you have a 346...the valves are too big on the stage 3's. Not sure if that goes for the PRC's as well.

Although those HFE heads sound like they flow nice.
    Oh...and your link doesn't work.

I've been wondering is stage 3 just overkill without incresing the cubes?

yea and the HFE heads are a shitload cheaper...and they got better FLOW #'s than some of the $2500 heads out there...

Flow numbers are great and all...but they are roughly 30% of what makes a head work well.
Just because they move a lot of air...doesn't mean they move it well. If that makes sense.

luos is right what makes the hp also is the fast burning combustion chambers and who has the best design... you get what you paid for

why are you milling them??? do you plan on running higher octane??? personaly i'd leave them as they are and maybe go FI later on...

Milling ups the compression ratio by making the chambers smaller.

Milling will also make your valves closer to your pistons...thus making it much more important to clay the pistons and check your valve-to-piston clearance.

don't bother milling them... also they are really large cams... just get a set of good heads...

    I can't tell you.

Each cam might be on a different lobe. And depending on the lobe, the smaller lift may create more of a clearance issue.

ya the only way you can do it is get some je pistons and do some math and ask for them to cut some more room for some valve relife.. or however you spell it.. and get smaller pushrods... its all about math! hope you past high school its just simple algrebra

    Valve reliefs = lower compression.
Shorter pushrods to up clearance = very bad idea. Lifters require their specific preload. Shorter pushrods are just wasting the cam and making a LOT of valvetrain noise.

Physically verify that your cam will fit if you mill the heads.

sorry i meant either go with either or shorter pushrods or valve reliefs... als valve reliefs from what i was thought at the engine shop vavle relief to a certin extent won't lower compression 2 much just enough to maintain higher compression and keep the valves from knockin on the pistons

while we're talking about heads, what is the difference in performance between different valve angles on some aftermarket heads vs. stock angle
