Red- 1999 Chevy Camaro Z28
LQ9 Stage 2 Patriot Peformance heads
Just checking to see if anyone can help me out on this. I've been kicking around the idea of procharging my 99z28. Some of you have probably already read some of my posts. The thing I was wondering was if anyone knows if you can get the LG G5x4 cam to fit without flycutting with the Patriot Stage 2 LQ9 heads. I know they have 2.02"intake and 1.57" exhaust valves in them. I thought maybe since they are 72cc combustion chamber versus stock LS1 heads 66cc chambers ( I believe) I might be able to get away with running those size valves. That just might be wishfull thinking though. My original intent was to run the TFS heads but I figure since the bottom end is bone stock I should probably just lower my compression by switching over to a truck head if I'm gonna run the D1-SC. And yes I already know the X4 is not a good cam for forced induction applications but I put this cam in only a year ago and don't feel like spending the money for another cam. Thanks ahead of time for anybody who posts back!
