Lifter??? Bearing ??WTF?(video)
This happened today... 150xxx btw
Great OP. 40 at hot idle tonight. Sound doesnt affect OP.
Only does it when the car is cold. or has been off for about 15 minutes
Its internal... feels like its in the front passengers valve cover.

not a lifter...it's too fast for idle...unless its ALL the lifters...no, that would suck to much...no way.

listened again...souds like a piece of vibrating metal? it's just moving too fast to tell, and it's such a short clip. Does the sound increase in speed/volume when you rev higher?
Im thinking-since you said it only happens when it's cold, that there is a loose band clamp that once the headers or something gets hot enough, they expand and hold again.

Very high frequency compared to idle, listen closely to timing cover area, wondering if the timing chain is rubbing. There can be a lot of wear on the car retainer plate, and it may be letting things move a bit. Any codes, like cam sensor?

No EGR no AIR.
and if your are reffering to the compressor then you may be right.. it blew out hot the other day for like 3 minutes then got colder then before.

Bow down to the almighty spazbot. Turned on the ac on full blast before starting the car. Does it ten times worse... I guess that means I can polish all my crap now because I have to get my AC recharged... yay... gay... Ill pull the belt till I get it fixed...

no joke. Car runs a bit better without the strain of the AC.

The air pump Spaz was talking about has nothing to do with the A/C.

I know. thats why I said no AIR no EGR.
but I was thought he might have meant the compressor since its on the passengers side..
anyway. 400 bucks down the drain after it is all said and done.

That pump is laying 5 foot from the car with its mondo bracket.
