    1994 Firebird

    L92 6.2L Conversion

    Has any1 done this conversion yet? Debating on buying one and putting it in the bird but was wondering if there are any other bugs besides the usual if i was gonna do a ls1 swap... i know the ls3 had a problem with the ls1 ecm sensor so hoping its not the same here.

    I've got a rough idea of throwing in a LQ4/LQ9 with 6.2 heads and intake, should be pretty stout. If you have any doubts about the ls1 ecm, give frost a call. I'm sure he'll point you in the right direction

    Things that need to be addressed when swapping a Gen IV into a Gen III car.

    Crank reluctor is different and won't be recognized by the LS1 ECM (Lingenfelter has a conversion box for this)
    Knock sensors are moved from under the intake to outside the block (requires an extension harness)
    Cam sensor is moved from the rear of the block to the front timing cover.
    Need a cable actuated throttle body.
    Would need F-body specific oilpan waterpump and accessories.
