    Knocking noise

I raced a BMW an then cane home to a knocking noise. My push rods are straight and there is no metal in my oil or on the drain plug. What can I do to track it down. It's def coming from the top end an on drivers side.

So are you saying I need a rebuild or just get a whole new motor. How much does it go for?
If I am going to swap the whole motor I would rather go bigger but I need to find a ls that my headers will bold up too.

Mine blew up for god knows why but it ran for a good amount of time with that knocking like 14-15 thousand miles. I got my ls1 for cheap out of a wreaked car and it will be rebuilt this winter when I come home fir winter break

It's a knock, not a tick right. Ticking is lifters knocking could be spun bearing on the connecting rod or a bad spark plug. I had the same thing happening to me I spun a bearing. Check plugs first then check for dead lifter.

Lifters look good by sight. The plugs look fine but then again there is only like 2k on them
