    Just Installed Cam And Heads...

i just installed p & p heads, 224/224 cam , underdrive pulley, and all associated mods.. started up and idles ok.. had to drill a hole in the throttle body to idle better, the ses light in on and the code is misfires on all the cylinders.. is this normal after a cam swap.. or is my timing off.. the car runs erratic.. which im pretty sure is normal pre-tune..my question is.. are these problems normal after a cam swap?? thanx

is it rough only at idle or when you rev it slightly as well?

im not to familar with the cams you chose, as in how aggressive they are, but just from general knowledge 22x cams shouldnt throw any missfire codes....

its just trying to find an idle RPM. not that big of an issue. just get the car tuned soon...

if it's misfired on all cylinders, check timing, but you should have been able to install the cam straight up dot to dot and be done w/it, and not affect timing...

    what's your lift... .563, .561, .581, .588...?

Most people bump the idle up a bit with a cam too. A tune should maximize your gain and stabilize your idle.
