Info on Comp cam
Is anyone out there running this cam? It's their XR277HR, 224-228-534-537 @112. I'm considering buying it. I have a 01 M6 SS. This cam will be going into a crate LS6. Supporting hardware includes entire SLP LT Y pipe LM system, CAI with lid, Spec 2 clutch, and Comp's recommended "beehive" springs. This is not my DD, but I don't want a cam that makes life miserable. I will be getting it tuned, and dynoed right after break in of the new motor. We'll flash it, for the break in. Moser 12 bolt to come shortly. I plan on keeping the stock heads for a while.

black- 1999 camaro
Well I dont have that cam and I know everyones idea or a "driveable" cam is different but my cam is mid 240's duration and on a 111 LSA and I really don't think its bad at all to drive. If anything I would say you can go alittle bigger but I don't know what ur goals are and what power range you are looking for.

Bigger might be better
Thanks for the info, and after your reply, I do think I'll look into their (Comp Cams) next size up...228/230 571/573 @112 I should explain that when I bought the car about a year ago, the original LS1 recently broke a rod, my wife and I decided to go ahead with a LS6. While we were at it, we thought we might as well do the bolt ons, and one thing lead to another, and well, we figured we'd drop a cam in it, and leave it at that. I spoke in length with my tuner, and he said that the original MAF and TB are fine, that most aftermarket ones are really hard to tune for the small gains. The car will be our weekend toy, but again, I don't want a hassle prone car in a traffic jam, or if I'm in the rare mood to not drive agressively. Thanks again for your tip
