help with LSA decision
I am getting a TR 224/224 and need some advice on LSA, there are no tuning shops close to me so I am going to have to get a mail order tune for now, will a LSA of 112 be okay with my daily driver with a mail order or do I need to get it on a 114??? Thanks for your advice!

is the car an a4 or m6? if auto, then go with the 114. You'll have better vaccum than the 112. If a stick, a 112 shouldnt be bad at all.

It also depends on how you like the sound.
Speaking for myself (personal opinion): anything less than 114 LSA sounds like it's about to stumble and die. In fact, most of the cams with 114 sound like they're about to stumble and die. They don't, I know, but for me, that's just what it sounds like. For some people, that's what they want, since the sound also harkens back to the muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. For me, it just isn't what a modern car should sound like.
(P.S. - Not trying to start anything, it's just an opinion of the sound.)

to rebuttle that comment, Id like to state, that there are more factors to lope than what you are refering. Overlap is one big one. Generally your overlap at .050 will tell you how much a cam has. The more overlap, the more reversion, more lope Also, the tune and idle speed come into play. I have had a 228/228 114 and a 230/232 112 cam. Both of which idled fine. The one on the 112 idles just as good as the 114. My idle speed is set to 975 right now, should I drop it to say...850, then Ill obtain the sound you are refering to. Just wanted to clear things up a bit.
