HEADS difference between 98 and 04
ok, im looking into heads now. Just wondering, is there a difference between a 98 cyclinder head and a 04 ls1 cyclinder head? I found a set of 04 ls1 heads on ebay for a pretty good price and complete. I know they have different valve covers, but what about the internals? anypower difference?

'98 heads have provisions for perimeter bolt valve covers, so you would need center bolt valve covers and coil pack mounting brackets.

you are looking for cast number 243 those are the ls6 ones best stock head. that i know of. if doing this swap you should get a cam at the same time too. get some stage 2 patriots. those will work well with budget in mind.
