    heads/cam

I wanted to know what the best head/cam combo might be out there. It's basically a stock '02 SS with a few minor bolt-ons. I'd like to make as much power as possible. Any recomendations on parts and vendors would be greatly appreciated.

the best heads out there are the AFRs. as for cam, depends on what youre goals are, is the car a daily driver, weekend car or strip only?
you will need headers before the cam.

A couple good points here. You can get away with more cam in a stick car or an auto with a higher stall converter. If you want as much power as possible, you'll want a full exhaust to get there. Plan on getting a good tune to dial it in afterwards. Also, an excellent dyno number is nice, but you'll need some traction to get it to the ground.

I agree with the above, exhaust and stall should be covered first (you'd be surprised at just how hard you're SS will be pulling with just these mods alone). As for the cam, if you want it to be a daily driver (while making as much power as possible), then I'd consider the FM13 112-LSA. Keep you're stock heads and throttle body, just have them ported out.

Thanks, I forgot to mention it's a M6.My plans are for it to be a weekend car. Just kind-of red light to red light stuff. But I'd like it not to be too obnoxious. (somewhat drivable). If you might have any recommendations on headers or exhaust systems that would be great. I have the factory center exit exhaust that I'd like to keep, but can change. Thanks Again.

something like a fm13 cam sounds about right for a weekend car.
as for exhaust, get coated pacesetter headers with a hooker exhaust.

would Edelbrock shorty headers be a waste of time vs. long tube? would AFRs 225cc heads be overkill (no plans for more displacement)? Thanks again.
