head swap
hey guys
im planning on swapping the heads on my 2000 z28 . i was woundering if the block would need to be droped . or if there is some way to pull them with it in the car . if any of you have tried this or seen it done please help

I've done it. I used the instructions on www.ls1howto.com they're very informative. It's not a hard process, just very time consuming and labor-intensive. You don't need to pull the engine, everything is very accessable with the engine still in the car, you're just going to be humping your engine for a while.

so these are the stats for the cam i want Magic Stick V.4 239/242, .649"/.609" but i dont know as far as the heads . i was thinking of going with texas speed . but there are just so many choices .

i was thinking of texas speed performance heads . but i dont know i want something that will work well with the magic stick 4 . im also going to add headers while im doing this job .

You got a LOT of work dude with the header install too.
Replace that Oil pump with a ported LS6 while you are at it. Oil pressure goes up 20%. So does engine life expectancy.
