head gasket choice

Hi, i have a new set of gaskets im not using so i was thinking if i could use them in my lq9 build. They are for an 4.030 bore but my lq9 still has the stock 4.000 bore so im thinking if i would lose any compression by that?

They would probably work fine but if it was me i'd pick up the right size gasket to be on the safe side.

Can you help me understand what gasket you have? A stock 6.0 liter gasket is 4.030 so if your gasket is that size your just running the oem size gasket.... If your gasket however was made for a 4.030 bore then the gasket may be 4.060 in which case you cannot run it.

I dont know about the gaskets but the block has a 4.000 bore. And my new set of gaskets are 4.030 so i wasnt sure what size to use since i dont know what the oem size is. But if a 6.0 uses 4.030 size gasket i guess i'm good with my new gaskets, right?

as long as the gaskets measure 4.030 your fine
