Is this a good deal?

i went to my shop today and i found that they are selling a set of slp heads there but i wasnt sure which ones they were and the guy didnt know either. They dont have the double valvesprings. The heads are brand new. He told me i could take them for 400. what do you guys think and do you know the number on these heads because from what i was told AFR makes the heads for them.

also i have a 98. i herd that if you buy heads for these you have to buy new valve covers or something like that, is that also true?

The valve covers on a 98 have bolts that go around the perimeter-99-2002 have the bolts in the center. If the heads are for 99+ you would have to get 99-2002 valve covers. I see them on egay all the time though.

I've been looking and I've already found some good deals on valve covers but do you guys think that they are over all good heads, especially since I only have to pay 400

There should be a part # stamped on the end of them.

They could be some BS and I tell you they are SLP's to sell them.

well slp called me back after doing some research on the heads and they told me what it has. It has all the nooks and cranies you could ask for on the heads. He told me they sold for over 2k and getting them for 400 brand new is a steal. and from what i see they are made by AFR
