Go big or hold back with a block
I was wondering should you bore a block out to its max? Ex. LSX block 4.25 bore and also should you stroke it completely to 4.5 is it really worth the extra cubes will a block still be reliable if you stroke it completely especially if you put it on the boost and nitrous? and even if you get a scratch in the bore and they need a couple thousandths taken off or you need the block decked will that put the block over the edge? just something i wanted to know before i got my internals

does making the bore maxed worst than stroking to the max?Is there a difference should i stroke it all the way but not bore it to the max or should i do neither to the max do like a say 4.125 bore to a 4.25 or 4.375 stroke

My question to you would be, what do you want out of it?? If you simply want the biggest ls engine you can have, bore it out to 4.190 and if you have a tall deck, then stroke it to 4.5 and be done with it. But if you have HP/TQ goals, then there will be an appropriate CI and bore to stroke ratio for that.

i am looking for 800 -1000 rwhp but if there is more then why not i am just looking for something that is not going to put too much stress on the block when i put FI and nitrous to it but still to maximize the power output of the block
