    Getting Hot

Hi. Just finished getting my 223/230 TR cam into my 2000 Z28. Car started find, good oil pressure, idles great with slight lope. Very pleased. The car is still in the garage with idle only and slight revs. It is getting hot. I turn it off well before it gets to 260 and have an extra fan running on it. When engine is cooler and with radiator cap off, I can see the new antifreeze appear to circulate so I think he water pump is working, and I had no heat problems before. What do you think is causing the overheat? Thank you!!

I was just going to say, sounds like you have the thermostat air locked. Easy to do on our cars -- glad you got it figured out.
