    Flycutting???

How big of a cam can you go on a stock LS1 without having to flycut the pistons. Lingenfelter's website says that you cant really run much bigger than a 220/224 .557/.578 without flycutting. iv heard that you can put bigger. im confused. help me out

on stock LS1 pistons, and stock, completely stock heads, you can fit a MUCH larger cam then a 220/224. The MS series is a large breed. And will fit with stock valve sizes and no milling.

Lingenfelter likes to build cars like that, small CC heads, with smaller cams that make more of an all around power gain. Compared to a donkey dick cammed stock LS1 car with 3.23's.

If you want a large cam, get some steeper gears as the large cam will beg for it.
