    Engineering Student project

Im an engineering student at WVU, and I have a project where I need the instantaneous ambient air temperature change inside a cylinder, at a constant rpm (idle or whatever). So basically like a graph of how the temperautre inside the cylinder changes through the combustion process, something like a sine wave. The class is Numerical Analysis of Conduction Heat Transfer, and I get to pick a random car to get my data from, so I figured I'd do an Ls1. I would just like to know if anyone knew where I could find information like this, I've tried searching online, I cant find anything. Even if the data is not for an Ls1 would still be helpfull, any info would be awesome, Thanks!

also your ideal air/fuel ratio should give you an exhaust temp around 1250°...i think... its been awhile since I opened a text book...enjoy school while you can!

Thanks, for combusion I used h values with the air fuel ratio and with PV=nRT fudged up a graph along with exhaust and intake air temps. Cant wait to get out of school and start making some dang money.

well I guess sometimes my weath of useless knowledge is actually usefull lol
    glad to hear it helped!
p.s. did you know that an average of 50 people a year are killed in shark attacks around the world... but ten times as many people are killed each year in tropical regions by coconuts falling out of trees? lol ok I doubt if that fact will ever be usefull
