Dropped a lifter!!! Oh no!!!
Doing a cam swap on Fri night and dropped a lifter. We did learn that you don't have to drop the K-member. Pulled off the head, intake and accessories and the motor mount bolts. THen we jacked up the motor and dropped the oil pan. It landed on the windage tray and there it was. The magnets worked on 15 of the 16. So after the whole job we learned a valuable lesson. The guys thought we were going to have to drop the K-member and were going to try everything before that. Luck came our way for a change and things went back together smooth. Got it running last night about 6:30 and man she sounds great. Can't wait to get it tuned. Will post dyno numbers when done. Sorry for the novel, but thought someone might could pick up a tip by not dropping the k-member.
3 inch Chambered Catback.

Thanks man. It went from a 8 hour job to about a 20 hour job. It all worked out in the end.

It sounds awesome. It has a mean lope to it. It pulls hard. I haven't really twisted on it yet. Trying to get throught the break in period of 500 miles. Can't wait to see the dyno numbers and see what it runs at the track.

I'm leaving the tuning to the pro's. I can do all the mechanical work, but this is about as much on the computer side I can handle.
