LS6 and LS 2 cAMSHAFT ARE NOT THE SAME!!!!
Everyone says the 2001 LS6 and the LS2 Cam is the same but they are not...save yourself some money and don't try to interchange these Cams...they will not interchange!!!

More on Cam interchange
I meant to say the 2001 ZO6 cam but the LS 2 cam won't work in anything else anyway.....

LS 1 and LS2 cams
Because Gen Iv Cams read location from the front of the cam and Gen III cams read from the rear. There is no eluctor on the rear of an LS 2 Camshaft...It will not time in a Gen III Block.

I ended up buying an NX GM LS Series Stage-I cam...Of course my engine is carbureted with a stand alone ignition system. I still haven't found any information on using the old bell housing ,clutch and pressure plate on the LS- I, I'm hoping it will fit right up......
